A Bradley County, Tenn., man has been arrested and charged with TennCare fraud for using the program to obtain prescription drugs he later sold, a news release states.
Cody Jarred Prince, 19, of Cleveland, was indicted on one count each of TennCare fraud and sale or delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance, according to the Office of Inspector General.
The charges allege Prince used TennCare to obtain a prescription for Percocet, a painkiller, at a local pharmacy and planned to sell a portion of the drug.
"This is our 19th arrest in July, with many more cases in the pipeline," Inspector General Deborah Faulkner said. "If you commit TennCare fraud, you will go to jail."
Prince could receive a two-year sentence if convicted, according to the release.
