Walker County Sole Commissioner Bebe Heiskell eked out a narrow win Tuesday over challenger G. Paul Shaw in the Republican primary.

She will now serve her fourth term since no Democrat entered the race.

Shaw held the lead for much of the night, but with all the precincts reporting, Heiskell had a lead of 211 votes, with 5,326 votes to Shaw's 5,115, according to unofficial election results.

At the county level, all the incumbents in Walker County held onto their seats - except for State Court Judge Bruce E. Roberts, who was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Challenger Billy Mullinax received 66 percent of the vote, or 7,358 votes, compared to Roberts' 34 percent, or 3,724 votes, in the nonpartisan judge's race.

Incumbent Sheriff Steve Wilson won handily, with 73 percent, or 7,719 votes, followed by Freddie Roden with 20 percent, or 2,123 votes, and Billy Mullis with 7 percent, or 728 votes.
