The 14-year-old who was shot Friday night near 2600 Market St. may have been caught in the crossfire between two other men, authorities are saying.

The teen, whose name is not being released, was shot around 7:30 p.m. according to a Chattanooga police news release. Investigators now believe that two people were shooting at each and the male juvenile was caught in the crossfire, Chattanooga Police spokesman Nathan Hartwig said.

The victim was released from the hospital today, Hartwig said.

Police are looking for a suspect, 19-year-old Kenneth Trammell, who is wanted for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlawful use of a firearm, Hartwig said. The second suspect, a juvenile, was arrested Saturday and taken to Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center on the same charges.

Anyone with information on Trammell's whereabouts is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
