President Barack Obama wants to visit the set of "42," the movie about baseball star Jackie Robinson that had several scenes filmed in Chattanooga, according to a website.

Deadline.com reported today that Obama requested an invite to visit the film set on Tuesday. The crew is in Atlanta that day.

Several scenes from the movie were filmed at Engel Stadium.

Legendary Entertainment CEO and Obama donor Thomas Tull said the White House called last week to ask if the president could drop by while he is in Atlanta for fundraisers, Deadline said.

"Well, of course I said it would be OK," Tull said.

"42" stars Chadwick Boseman as Robinson, the first black Major League Baseball player, and Harrison Ford as Brooklyn Dodgers General Manager Branch Rickey.
