The Salvation Army reported it is in Bradley County and the Highway 58 areas assessing resources needed after the early afternoon storm.

It said it has been called by the Evacuee Center at Bayside Baptist Church to provide assistance, food, and beverages. "The Salvation Army is prepared to serve after today's storms. Ironically, we are still serving after last year's storm in April," said Area Commander Major Algerome Newsome.

The Salvation Army noted it is preparing for the second storm wave that is predicted to hit the area this evening.
