The play is based off the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl. The story is centered around the adventures of a young boy named Charlie inside the chocolate factory of chocolatier Willy Wonka.

"The cast has put their heart and soul into the production," Kim Parrish, Walker County Community Theater director, said.

All the characters in the play are local members of the community and range in age from 5 to 50 years old.

"We're excited because we've never had this before," said Nelda Parris, Walker County Civic Center director. "We encourage all young and old folks to come out."

The play is one and a half hours long and includes an intermission where Willy Wonka concessions will be served.

Cost is $10 for regular admission, $8 for students and seniors, and $7 for groups of 10 of more. Seating is general admission.
