Chattanooga police are investigating the third shooting to take place in a week.

Quinn Walker, 29, sustained a single gunshot wound to the thigh just after midnight Thursday, Chattanooga police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig said in a news release. Walker was taken to Erlanger hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Hartwig said.

He was shot while in a car at 735 Sylvan Drive and a spent bullet casing was found in the vehicle, police said.

It doesn't appear any of the shootings this week are related, according to police.

On Tuesday, Darick Isom, 33, and Lymorris Martin, 54, were shot at an apartment located at 2114 Windsor St. shortly after 11 p.m.

On Saturday, Honoria Vasquez Ramirez, 29, sustained a gunshot wound to the head at 1508 E. 17th St. He was treated at Erlanger for the non-life threatening injury.

The shot was fired from outside the residence and struck Ramirez inside after it penetrated an exterior wall.

Walker's shooting marks the 19th shooting incident with injuries this year for the city. This time last year, there were 10 shootings.

Anyone with any information about the shootings is asked to call Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333.
