Grant BriggsA McMinn County deputy serving a warrant for non-payment of child support ended up arrested a fugitive wanted on an arson charge from Monroe County.
McMinn County Deputy Joe Price arrested Grant Briggs Thursday afternoon. While serving a pair of warrants related to child support, Price realized that Briggs was also being sought for arson and other charges.
Monroe County officials say Briggs is accused of setting his ex-girlfriend's trailer on fire on January 12 after allegedly stealing several items.
