Chattanooga police are looking for a suspect in the second stabbing in downtown Chattanooga in two days.

The male suspect is wanted in connection with today's stabbing of 33-year-old Tammie Green at Country Hearth Inn & Suites, located at 101 E. 20th St., said police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig said.

After police arrived a little after 4 p.m., they took Green taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening stabs wounds to her head and neck, he said.

The incident happened in Room 234, Sgt. Jeff Rearden said on the scene, where a large hunting knife used was later recovered.

On Wednesday, a 71-year-old woman was stabbed in the right side of her head and neck by an ex-boyfriend.

After being stabbed while sitting in Whiteside Faith Manor at 735 E. 10th St., Dorris Boozer was treated and released from Erlanger, police said.

Walter Bradley, 62, faces charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder in the stabbing.
