Suspect, victim named in downtown Chattanooga stabbing

A 62-year-old Chattanooga man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a woman on Wednesday, police say.

Walter Bradley faces charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of 71-year-old Dorris Boozer, said Chattanooga police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig.

About 5:20 p.m., she was stabbed in the right side of the head and neck while at Whiteside Faith Manor on East 10th Street, police said. She was treated and released from Erlanger hospital.

Police have said that Bradley and Boozer know each other, but their relationship has not been clarified.
