Tennessee food companies make last ditch effort to appeal to Manning's appetite

Chattanooga-based Krystal Co. joined Shoney's and the company that makes Moon Pies in sweetening the Tennessee Titans' offer for the former Colts quarterback.

The news came today, even as initial reports indicated Manning may have signed with the Denver Broncos.

Shoney's previously offered Manning free pancakes for the length of his career in Nashville, while Chattanooga Bakery offered Manning a lifetime's supply of Moon Pies, "fresh right from the factory."

Brad Wahl, marketing director for Krystal, said the company would "take care of his pregame eating needs."

"We will work out something with Mr. Manning to make sure he gets a Krystal Sackful before every game," Wahl said.
