Convinced that the concrete in your sinuses, faucet in your nose and sandpaper in your eyes is the fault of the little yellow particles that are appearing on cars everywhere in the past few days?

You're probably not wrong.

According to a survey by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and the Weather Channel, Chattanooga is the seventh-worst city in the country for spring allergies caused by pollen.

Blame the mountains around the city. Allergists say numerous mountain plants create a perfect storm of pollen in the spring.

But Tennessee has the dubious pleasure of having more cities on the pollen hit parade than any other state, with Chattanooga, Knoxville at No. 1 and Memphis at No. 8.
