Hamilton County Commissioner Chester Bankston from District 9Hamilton County Commissioner Chester Bankston will be leading a tornado clean-up effort near the Shirley Bridge on Snow Hill Road today and Friday.
The Tennessee Valley Authority has temporarily lowered lake levels, allowing volunteers to remove debris.
Those willing to volunteer can contact JoJo at 219-8709.
Bankston said those with flat-bottom boats are particularly being sought to help.
Also, County Mayor Jim Coppinger is reminding residents that trees should be separated from building materials to expedite pick up by county workers.
