Chattanooga Police officials say that five people, including three children, who were involved in an accident about 7 a.m. today on Interstate 24 at the Market Street exit all received minor injuries.

Despite earlier television reports that a small child was ejected from the car, spokesman Nathan Hartwig said there was "no evidence that there was an ejection of anybody from the vehicle."

Hartwig said a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling eastbound on I-24 and swerved, causing the driver to lose control. The SUV rolled four or five times.

Two adults and three children, ages 4, 13 and 17, were transported to Erlanger Health System facilities for treatment of minor injuries, Hartwig said.

Hartwig said there were early reports that the 4-year-old had been ejected, but he said the child was "walking around" at the scene and had not been ejected.

"It appeared to be worse than it was," he said.
