A Rossville man who was part of a 13-person crew that illegally obtained and sold thousands of oxycodone pills throughout Northwest Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky was sentenced Tuesday.

Terry Michael Jamerson, 65, was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of supervised release. He was the last member of the crew to be sentenced.

Authorities said Jamerson drove to Florida once a month and persuaded doctors to write him prescriptions for oxycodone. Jamerson then filled the prescriptions at Florida pharmacies and brought the pills back to North Georgia to be sold.
