A teenager was shot and killed Friday afternoon at 1111 Arcadia Ave., Chattanooga police said.

Police found Monterius Rollins, 18, shot in the abdomen after responding to a shots fired call at 3:22 p.m., Sgt. Wayne Jefferson said.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Jefferson said investigators don't have any suspect information. There is no evidence the shooting is gang-related.

A neighbor called police to report that shots had been fired, he said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333
