Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies reported they received a call Tuesday night from a woman saying she had been held against her will by her boyfriend.

The woman, Leslie Sandridge, told deputies she had been held for several days at 1259 Lester Lane by her boyfriend, Dominick Haven. She also said that during this time he had repeatedly beat her severely and had held a gun to her head with threats to kill her or the police if they were called.

Sandridge said she managed to escape the residence Tuesday evening, going to a neighbor's house to get help.

Deputies later set up a perimeter around the area based on her report that he was armed and had made threats of violence toward law enforcement. The SWAT team also was on the scene.

Deputies later observed Haven going into the woods at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. He was then arrested and has been charged with attempted murder and false imprisonment.
