George WatersSlaying suspect denied bond
POLK COUNTY, Tenn. - The suspect in a triple murder will be held without bond, a Polk County judge ruled Tuesday.
According to the court clerk's office, a bond hearing was held for George Waters, who's accused in the Aug. 19 shooting deaths of his uncle Willard Waters, 61, his aunt Wanda Waters, 59, and his cousin, 40-year-old Marion "Doug'' Waters.
Waters, 33, will remain in jail pending a November preliminary hearing on three first-degree murder charges, the clerk's office reported.
According to Polk County Sheriff Bill Davis, the killings were the result of of a property boundary dispute in the Grassy Creek community where the Waters lived.
Schools update directory
WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. - The Whitfield Education Foundation is trying to update the county school system's Alumni Directory.

3 arrested delivery robbery
DALTON, Ga. - Three teenagers were arrested in Dalton, Ga., after police said they put a knife to a pizza delivery driver's neck and stole $70 in tips from his pockets.
Joshua Garcia, 18, Jonathan Gilbreath, 19, and a 14-year-old were all charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, said Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier.
Late Tuesday night, a driver was delivering a pizza to Garcia, who said he had forgotten his wallet and went to knock on an apartment door, Frazier said.
The driver said that when he went to get the pizza off the top of the car, another man grabbed him and put a knife to his throat, Frazier said. The two men, along with a 14-year-old, took the cash and the pizza and fled.
Police found the three suspects at a nearby apartment, Frazier said, with a knife and a pizza inside.
Man, woman face drug charges
ROSALIE, Ala. - A man and a woman have been arrested on meth charges, authorities said.
Jerry Mcarthur Ragan, 33, of Pisgah, Ala., and Jamie Michelle Summerford, 35 of Scottsboro, are charged with unlawful manufacturing of controlled substances, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
