Gov. Bill Haslam now has a list of applicants for the Hamilton County General Sessions Court position temporarily vacated by Judge Ronald Durby.

Fifteen applicants filed paperwork with the governor's office by the Oct. 19 deadline.

Larry Ables, John Harvey Cameron Jr., Robert Davis, Joseph DeGaetano, Yolanda Mitchell, Richard Pettit, Robert Philyaw, Ron Powers, Janice Pulver-Lewis, W. Lloyd Stanley Jr., Lila Statom, Phillip Strang, Gerald Webb, Catherine M. White and Kevin Wilson were the names provided by Haslam's office Monday.

Citing health reasons, Durby stepped down from his judge seat on Oct. 2. In a letter to Haslam, he said he was undergoing tests and treatment and hoped to "soon return to the bench."
