Meningitis outbreak: 2nd Mass. pharmacy recalls all products

Ameridose Sterile Admixing Services, a pharmacy connected to the New England Compounding Center linked to a deadly meningitis outbreak, is recalling all of its products.

A Massachusetts drug firm linked by common ownership to the company blamed for an ongoing nationwide meningitis outbreak has announced a massive recall of all its products.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said patients in states other than the 23 states that received contaminated medicine may be affected. The outbreak has sickened 377 people in the United States, killing 29 of them as of today, the CDC said.

In a statement released today, Ameridose disclosed that it had initiated a voluntary recall of all its products.
