ROSINE, Ky. - The Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Celebration will go on as scheduled this year, though a majority of its musical performances might be held somewhere new.
Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Music Foundation executive director Campbell Mercer told the Messenger-Inquirer (http://bit.ly/QL0IsH) that much of the music at the bluegrass festival probably won't be played at the Bill Monroe homeplace near Rosine in Ohio County as it has in the past.
Mercer says the man who owns much of the property surrounding the 5-acre homeplace has blocked access to land used in the past for parking and camping. In addition, Mercer says the owner won't allow stages to be placed on his property.
Mercer says he is planning to move musical performances on Oct. 4-7 to one of two farms he owns near the homeplace.
