Georgia man charged in double murder in Macon

MACON, Ga. - Authorities say a man has been charged with murder stemming from last week's death of man and woman in a neighborhood in Macon.

The Telegraph of Macon reports that Rodney "Rock" Lowery was charged Friday in the deaths of 25-year-old Deundra M. Emory and 26-year-old Antonio D. Fluellen.

Emory and Fluellen were found dead shortly before midnight Aug. 30 at a duplex in east Macon's Fort Hill neighborhood.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says Fluellen was shot once in the head and Emory was shot multiple times.

Detective Robert Shockley says Lowery was working on a house across the street from Fluellen's duplex.

State prison records show that Lowery is on parole for an aggravated assault case from 12 years ago. He has been out of prison since 2009.
