Mocs tied with App going into fourth

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Appalachian State are tied 10-10 heading into the fourth quarter of the Mocs' homecoming game.

ASU has limited UTC to 116 yards of offense while racking up 304 yards of its own.

The Mountaineers are threatening to open the fourth quarter.

HALFTIME

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Appalachian State are tied 10-10 at halftime of the Mocs' Southern Conference opener in Finley Stadium.

ASU rallied from a 10-0 deficit with a field goal by Drew Stewart. The Mountaineers pulled even on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jamal Jackson to Steven Miller with 38 ticks to tock.

UTC sophomore Terrell Robinson quarterbacked two series in the second quarter during which UTC did not get a first down.

UTC starting quarterback Jacob Huesman is 2-of-5 form 18 yards. Running back Keon Williams leads the Mocs with 32 rushing yards.

ASU has out-gained UTC 208 yards to 71.

FIRST QUARTER

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga leads Appalachian State 10-0 after the first quarter of their Southern Conference matchup at Finley Stadium.

Freshman quarterback Jacob Huesman connected with Marlon Anthony for an 8-yard touchdown play. Nick Pollard added a 32-yard field goal.

UTC chancellor Roger Brown ran out of the inflatable tunnel with the team as his last duty before retiring.
