Roger Tuder, CEO of the Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee, announced this morning he would seek the City Council District 2 seat being vacated by Councilwoman Sally Robinson.

"Serving the citizens of District 2 will be my priority," Tuder said in a press release. "We all want businesses, large and small to flourish in Chattanooga. But we have to have healthy neighborhoods, growing property values, and citizen safety recognized as key ingredients for the best place to live and work. Chattanooga has to bring value to its residents."

The district comprises North Chattanooga and extends northward to Highway 153.

The city elections are slated for March and petitions are due in December.
