HealthSouth Chattanooga Rehabilitation Hospital has announced that new and newly admitted patients will be able to use the McCallie Avenue hospital's newly constructed addition beginning April 10.
The 27,100-square-foot expansion includes 30 all-private rooms, 10 semi-private rooms, a new day room and support spaces.
"Our primary goal is to provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care," HealthSouth Chattanooga CEO Scott Rowe said. "This expansion gives us a better opportunity to do so by offering more private rooms and larger space for therapy services."
The existing hospital has also undergone renovation through dining room and therapy gym expansions and improvements to the current patient rooms and building, a news release said. The second floor will house the regional business office.
The official grand opening of the expansion will take place June 20.
HealthSouth Chattanooga Rehabilitation Hospital is a 50-bed inpatient facility, located at 2412 McCallie Ave.
