East Ridge police arrested two men Friday who they said tried to rob a Krystal restaurant on Ringgold Road.

Officers charged 25-year-old Kendall Battle, of Chippewah Drive, and 20-year-old Ramonta Huff, of Wachula Street, with aggravated robbery. Battle also was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, and both men will appear in court Tuesday.

Battle and Huff walked through a back door of Krystal, 6300 Ringgold Road, about 9:50 a.m. Friday. They told employees to give them money, according to a news release, and they showed off their handguns.

But someone called the police, and Battle and Huff ran away without any money.

After arriving and dividing into search teams, officers found Huff at a Burger King about a football field's length away on Ringgold Road. Officers arrested Wade later Friday.
