Police say Tennessee burglar strips after breaking into homes

JACKSON, Tenn. - Police in West Tennessee have caught a man charged with breaking into two houses where women were home and taking off his clothes.

After the suspect was spotted in Madison County, schools were locked down for more than two hours beyond dismissal time.

According to The Jackson Sun, officers arrested 41-year-old Dustan Smith, who was spotted running from a Dollar General Store near Rose Hill Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon.

Smith was sought in two break-ins in neighboring Henderson County.

Authorities said women in two Lexington homes said they awakened on Saturday to find Smith in their homes naked. One reported he was one top of her when she woke up.

He is jailed on charges of burglary and sexual battery.
