Sandhill crane hunting to be allowed in Tennessee

The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission voted today to include sandhill cranes in the new waterfowl hunting regulations.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Spokesman Dan Hicks said the commission voted unanimously to allow 400 three-permit hunting packets in October through a hand-pulled lottery.

The hunting season will run from Nov. 28 to Jan. 1.
