A Rhea County High School teacher resigns amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student.

School officials at RCHS would not comment on the issue but Rhea County School Superintendent Jerry Levengood confirms to Channel 3 science teacher Robert Capps is no longer working for the school system after he resigned earlier this month.

"We're going to protect our children. We're going to protect our students from any allegations," Levengood says. "I received information from the principal who had received the information from the parent."
