DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say two people were killed in a wreck involving a semitrailer in Atlanta's northeastern suburbs. A third person was listed in critical condition after the late Wednesday night crash.
Police say the accident happened on Satellite Boulevard near Old Peachtree Road in Gwinnett County, just northeast of Atlanta.
Gwinnett County police tell WSB-TV that the semi struck a Chrysler PT Cruiser on Satellite Boulevard. The truck then jumped the curb, took out part of a guard rail and landed inside a wooded area.
Authorities say the driver and front-seat passenger in the PT Cruiser were killed. The back seat passenger was in critical condition.
Few other details were immediately available early today.
