Chattanooga announces street closings over next couple of days

The Chattanooga Transportation Department has announced some streets that will be closed in the city over the next couple of days.

They include:

- M.L. King Boulevard between Broad Street and Georgia Avenue and Market Street between East Eighth and East 10th streets will be closed Friday from 5:30 p.m. ti midnight for the Nighfall Concert Series. The 800 block of Cherry Street will be closed at King Boulevard and will only be accessible from East Eighth Street.

- East 11th Street, between Lindsay and Newby streets, will be closed Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. for the Equality Day Rally.

- Lindsay Street, between King Boulevard and 10th Street, 10th Street between Lindsay and Magnolia streets, Houston Street, between East 11th Street and King Boulevard, King Boulevard between Lindsay and Houston streets, the eastbound curb lane of King Boulevard between Houston and University streets and all streets linking 10th Street and King Boulevard, between Lindsay and Magnolia streets will be closed Sunday from 8 to 10:30 p.m. for the Glow Baby, Glow 5K Night Fun Run.

- Reggie White Boulevard, between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park, will be closed Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Chattanooga Market.

- The in-bound curb lane of Amnicola Highway from just north of Chattanooga State to the north Riverpark entrance and Riverport Road between Riverside Lane and the Riverwalk will be closed Monday from 7 to 10 a.m. for the FCA 10K Run.
