Auburn switching to new ticket system on Saturday

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn is switching to a new type of football ticketing system that officials hope will speed up entry for fans and reduce the problem of counterfeiting.

Workers at Jordan-Hare Stadium will now have scanners to check the bar codes on tickets.

It's the first time the system has been used for home football games at Auburn, but it's been used previously for baseball and basketball games.

Athletics officials say the change should make it quicker for fans entering the stadium, but they're encouraging them to arrive a little early for the first game against Washington State.

They also say the scanner technology should make it more difficult to get into a game with fake tickets since each ticket has a specific bar code.
