Two injured when car strikes Chattanooga house, ignites in flame

Two people were injured after a car hit a house in Chattanooga and caught on fire, according to a news release.

The accident happened shortly after midnight at 20 S. Germantown Rd.

The victims were taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The impact from the car caused substantial damage to the front of the structure, the release stated. The damage costs are estimated at $15,000. It was determined the house was not safe to occupy.
