Marcus Shane AndersonA Pisgah, Ala., man has been indicted on a murder charge in the October battering death of his 9-week-old daughter.
Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen in the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said Marcus Shane Anderson, 18, was arrested Friday after the grand jury brought the charge.
He said the sheriff's office and county Department of Human Resources investigated the death of Kaisley Anderson.
The infant was flown by medical helicopter to Huntsville Hospital on Oct. 24, where she died. An autopsy revealed traumatic head injuries, Harnen said in a news release.
Anderson was booked into the Jackson County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
