CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Police have made an arrest in a fatal hit and run in Montgomery County.
According to WKRN-TV, officers say a body was discovered around 5 a.m. Saturday by a man who was walking to work on Tylertown Road in Clarksville.
The body was later identified as 21-year-old Austin McReynolds. Investigators said he had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 26-year-old David Elliott of Columbus, Ohio. His charges include vehicular homicide, DUI, driving on a revoked license, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Elliott was being held Sunday without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
Investigators say McReynolds and Elliott are members of the military.
