Body pulled from Chattahoochee River is that of missing Atlanta man

ROSWELL, Ga. - Authorities say a body pulled from the Chattahoochee River is that of a missing metro Atlanta man.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Friday that the body found a day earlier is that of 71-year-old James "Gary" Morris of Sandy Springs.

Morris was last seen Dec. 3 at his home. His car was found a day later at a park near the river.

During the search, authorities lowered the water level of a nearby reservoir and used search dogs in an effort to locate him.
