GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A Kingsport man has been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison for his role in an oxycodone conspiracy in eastern Tennessee and for selling a firearm to a federal agent.
Stephen Leon Williams was sentenced in federal court in Greeneville on Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Ronnie Greer.
Williams was convicted of selling 55 oxycodone pills to a person working for law enforcement agents in February, and a month later selling a loaded .38-caliber handgun to an undercover agent. Williams, who was on parole from a 1981 murder conviction, acknowledged selling more than 2,200 oxycodone pills between 2011 and 2013.
After completing his sentence, Williams faces revocation of his parole from the murder conviction.
