Notre Dame senior guard Stedmon Ford went over the 1,500-point mark in the Irish's 48-34 victory over rival Chattanooga Christian.

Ford finished with 12 points in the win. He, along with classmate Kywaun Davenport, have been the cornerstones of a program that have seen three coaches in their four-year career, along with players transferring out of the program.

First-year Irish coach J.P. Nermun called the moment "pretty big for Stedmon." The senior helped lead his team to a District 7-AA tournament championship his sophomore season.

"I could tell with how the student body and the faculty responded to him, how they feel about Stedmon as a player and as a person," Nermun said. "He's real competitive on the court and really fun to watch."

Notre Dame holds a 16-9 mark overall and is 5-4 in District 7-AA, with a home game against Signal Mountain on Feb. 5th the only district game remaining.
