In the wake of a 300-percent increase in traffic fatalities in 2012, Franklin County officials want the driving public to know that if you drive drunk there you'll go to jail.
Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller says law enforcement agencies in the county will "refocus" efforts on traffic and DUI enforcement to bring those numbers down.
At 12 deaths, Fuller said 2012 had the highest number of fatalities since 2007 when 14 people lost their lives in Franklin County crashes.
"Nine of them had alcohol involved," Fuller recalled. "We really took a hard focus on the DUI aspect of it then."
