NASHVILLE - Rep. Ron Travis, R-Dayton, says Fall Creek Falls State Park is in store for $2.25 million in improvements as a result of State Building Commission action last week.

Proposed upgrades include a new irrigation system for the golf course and more restroom facilities.

Commission members gave the go-ahead for bids and vendor selection.

"These improvements at Fall Creek Falls will provide both residents and visitors with an even better experience at one of our state's most premier parks," Travis said in a news release. "In addition, these projects will provide a boost to the economy through increased tourism to Bledsoe County."
