Donnie Jones Jr., the convicted killer of Tullahoma nursing student Megan Sharpton, on Monday filed paperwork to withdraw the guilty plea he entered earlier this month and put the case before a jury.

Jones, 37, accused his own attorney Joseph Ford of coercing him. He claims prosecutors threatened to seek charges against his wife if he didn't take the guilty plea, according to officials and court documents filed by Jones on his own behalf in Franklin County.

Jones, who filed the motion from his prison cell in Morgan County, is seeking a trial and a new lawyer in the case, records state.
