Chattanooga Mocs win at Western Carolina

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defeated Western Carolina 81-72 in their Southern Conference game at the Ramsey Activity Center in Cullowhee, N.C.

UTC junior forward Zaccheus Mason recorded a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore guard Ronrico White added 19 points and freshman Gee McGhee scored points for the Mocs (13-17, 8-9 SoCon).

The Catamounts (12-18, 8-9) were led by 21 points from guard Brandon Boggs, 12 points from Tawaski King and 10 from Trey Sumler.

UTC never trailed and led by as many as 19 points at 43-24 with 1:23 to go in the first half. But WCU rallied to within 66-64 on a bucket by Boggs with 4:36 to play. The Cats couldn't get any closer.
