Red Bank home damaged in fire

The Red Bank Fire Department responded to a fire that may have started in the attic of a house in the 4400 block of Crestview Drive on Sunday.

Neighbors reported the fire at around 6:30 p.m. Firefighters could see flames when they arrived, said Amy Maxwell, spokeswoman for Hamilton County Emergency Services.

The home's attic and roof were burned and other parts of the house were damaged by water, heat and smoke. Maxwell estimated the damage at $50,000.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and the home's owner is unknown at this time.

The fire's cause is under investigation.

Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and Walden's Ridge Emergency Services assisted on the scene.
