Alvin Avery Overman, 39, of 131 Silver Street, Tullahoma, TN - charged with two counts of aggravated statutory rape, one count of incest and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.A Tullahoma, Tenn., mother, her boyfriend and another man have been charged in connection with exchanging sex with a teenage girl for crack cocaine, according to authorities in Coffee County.
Kimberly Michelle Breeden, 33, of 131 Silver St., is charged with statutory rape, two counts of aggravated statutory rape, incest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Tullahoma Police Detective Harry Conway and court records.
Breeden's boyfriend, Alvin Avery Overman, 39, of the same address, faces the same charges, Conway said.
Conway said co-defendent Thomas John Hickerson Jr., 57, of 103 Dicks Drive in Tullahoma, was one of a number of men who gave Breeden crack cocaine in exchange for sex with the girl.
The three were arrested Jan. 16 on indictments issued this month by the Coffee County grand jury.
"There are several others we haven't indicted yet. There are still other individuals who could be involved," the detective said.
The charges stem from Breeden's having sex with the girl, both alone and with Overman and Hickerson, on a number of occasions during 2011 and 2012, according to Conway.
The charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor arises from Breeden and Overman providing alcohol, crack cocaine and marijuana to the girl, he said.
Court records show the victim was between 13 and 18 when the offenses happened. Conway said the victim was at the younger end of that range.
Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves said Breeden is free on $25,000 bond. Overman was released on $20,000 bond, and Hickerson remains in custody on $10,000 bond, jail officials said.
The investigation started in 2012 when the girl's father reported sexual activity between the girl and Breeden's boyfriend, Conway said. The victim provided information that led to the charges against the three arrested and another man who has not yet been arrested.
The victim is staying with her father and undergoing counseling he said.
Conway said the investigation is continuing.
