A spring-like Tuesday ahead with mostly cloudy skies and well-above-normal temperatures in the middle to upper 60s! (Normal high for Chattanooga for today is 51.) Isolated light showers or sprinkles can't be ruled out.

As a cold front approaches late tonight winds and showers will increase. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and storms are likely Wednesday morning into early afternoon with a slight risk for severe storms. A few areas may experience damaging winds of 60+ mph and/or hail. Tornadoes are not likely. The heaviest rains and storms should end in the far eastern sections of the Blue Ridge by late afternoon/early evening.

Thursday and Friday bring sunny and colder conditions to the region with highs in the 40s.
