CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Bradley County Commission approved the county's 2013-14 budget, which includes a 1.5 percent salary increase for full-time employees and maintains current levels of service without a tax increase, on Monday night.

County Mayor D. Gary Davis said the budget achieves several goals in addition to avoiding the tax increase and providing a small salary bump for full-time county employees. It will increase the general fund balance from 10 percent to 13 percent of the county's debt and decrease the county's debt by $4.2 million, Davis said.
