Officials: 10 arrested in holiday sweep for boating under the influence

NASHVILLE - Tennessee officials arrested 10 people during a weekend sweep on charges of boating under the influence.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency made the arrests as part of the fifth annual Operation Dry Water. Wildlife officers issued 166 citations and checked 3,364 vessels.

There was a one fatality, a boating accident in Montgomery County which claimed the life of a 21-year old Clarksville woman.

The number of arrests is a decrease from the 19 persons arrested in 2012 over Operation Dry Water Weekend.
