Quickcue, the software company that took flight during Chattanooga's 48-hour launch contest, announced today that it has signed a deal with Mellow Mushroom to install waitlist, text notification and table management software in 120 locations across the U.S.
"Mellow Mushroom's focus on guest experience aligns perfectly with Quickcue's focus, which is why we are so pleased that they selected Quickcue to manage the front-of-house experience," said Bo Ferger, CEO of Quickcue.
The iPad-based software sends a text message to guests when their table is ready, allowing them to shop nearby or explore the area instead of waiting in a line. Restaurants can also create guest profiles to remember where customers like to sit, what they like to eat and other preferences.
Quickcue, which previously signed a similar deal with Chattanooga-based Craftworks in 2012, will become the exclusive provider of host stand technology for Atlanta-based Mellow Mushroom, according to a news release.
"One of our core values is providing excellent customer service," said David Danowitz, Mellow Mushroom's director of operations. "Mellow fans often will drive 100 miles to get to the nearest location, so we need to deliver a quality product and an awesome guest experience every time. Quickcue has a similar approach, which made partnering with them as the exclusive provider of our host stand technology an easy decision."
The deal also puts Quickcue in each of the estimated 20 restaurants per year opening up under the Mellow Mushroom brand, which could rapidly expand the startup's reach and revenue stream.
