Wesley Rorex arrested in Stevenson, Ala., on drug charges

Wesley Jay Rorex, 29, of Stevenson, Ala., was arrested on Monday on County Road 170 on drug charges, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Rorex was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Earlier in the day, the Stevenson Police Department had gotten a call about a possible meth lab at a residence on Church Street in Stevenson.

After arriving there, police officers had located items used to make methamphetamine along with a used one pot methamphetamine lab.

A news release said the person living at the residence wasn't there and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit came to the scene to assist.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Rorex, who was later arrested.

He continues at the Jackson County Jail on $5,500 bond.
