A third person has been taken to the hospital in the wake of a morning fire at 2410 Kirby Ave. that led to two other people earlier being sent to a hospital.

A news release from the Chattanooga Fire Department said a wheelchair-bound resident, who had been in the front yard while firefighters were fighting the fire, complained of difficulty breathing, and was sent to the hospital.

Lt. Henry McElvain of the fire investigation division said one of the two victims earlier taken to a hospital will be flown to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga. The other victim earlier taken to the hospital was expected to be treated and released, the release said.

Capt. Anthony Moore, also with the fire investigation division, said a back bedroom appears to have been where the fire began. The cause is undetermined and the investigation continues.
